Sasie Sealy is an award-winning writer/director known for her striking visuals and cheeky scripts. Her debut feature film Lucky Grandma premiered at the Tribeca Festival and had Sasie listed by The New York Times as one of “9 Filmmakers Who Should Be on Your Radar,” with critics calling it “delightful” and “one-of-a-kind.” The film was released theatrically in 2020 to rave reviews and appeared on multiple “Best of 2020” lists, including from Indiewire, New York Magazine, and Refinery29, and was recently named one of “The 100 Best Asian American Films of All Time.”

Bryce Norbitz is the VP of Tribeca Studios + Artist Development at Tribeca and oversees the AT&T Untold Stories program – cultivating filmmaker relationships and connecting audiences to impactful storytelling.

ABOUT AT&T UNTOLD STORIES

AT&T Untold Stories is an impactful multi-year collaboration between AT&T and Tribeca Festival that awards $1.2M, mentorship, and comprehensive support to the next generation of filmmakers looking to bring their films to the big screen. This unique partnership has already made a major impact on inclusivity in film by connecting filmmakers with the resources they need to make their film dreams a reality.

DIFF INSIDE FILM is a free educational talk series featuring film screenings followed by conversations with directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, and other film industry professionals.

The DIFF INSIDE FILM program is designed to give film students first-hand, face-to-face access to film industry insiders to guide their path toward career success in film-related professions. It is also open to people working in the local film industry and to film aficionados in the North Texas community. The series features guest speakers and panelists with international, national, regional, and local filmmaking backgrounds and experiences.
